Where we belong

Launching this blog was no sudden decision that we two made, it was one of those plans that we both had been looking upto for years. We are so glad that we could finally set it off. Together we never needed the third.

Despite being sisters, over the years we both got a little too much engaged in our lives to forget our long lived passion for style. Though the flame didn’t die, it just ignited out loud to be heard by all around us. Before launching the  blog, which we finally did, we penned down our thoughts time and again.

To our surprise, right before we thought to proceed with the plan, Samiksha (ta) surprised us with her pregnancy. Our lives just changed and the joy this tiny life brought to us was immense, and time just flew at  speed of lightning.  Months passed by, and there was no way we were able to execute our plan. We don’t remember the exact way, but it just happened to us and we took the firm decision to start it up. And here we are writing our third blog, while balancing our personal lives.

Over the time we have realised, that there really is nothing like lack of time. It is how we utilise our time and set our priorities. Ta is married with a kid, and is responsible for various things in her life, and the younger one (si), is building her label. But writing about the thing we love to talk about, and spend hours discussing had to be one on our to-do lists.

If any one spots the two of us alone, its probably when we are discussing fashion, and adding to our wish list. This is what we really love to do, and it is never too late to start something new! So guys stay with us in our journey that we are here to pave!

Back in the time wheel!

Being sisters, our fashion mauve has always been a like bearing, though we follow slightly different aesthetics, you can spot the similarities with a blink, thanks to our genes.

While shooting for the blog, we wanted to revisit the 70’s, which obviously is making to the top on our fashion charts, we chose different ways to express our recreation.

70’s gave us major fashion goals, and choosing out of the pool of trends was no easy job.

Shimmery box silhouettes, Fringy pants, high neck fitted tops, eye catchy prints, everywhere we look 1970s style is back with a bang . The key point here is that a heavy rotation takes place every few years in the world of fashion. So our style tip is not to throw away your clothes that aren’t fashionable as per the current scenario, who knows what tomorrow brings for you.

We certainly are not complaining about picking little inspiration from the 1970s. Here we are taking a little trip back in time and collaborating in with latest collection at our favourite stores and giving you little intimation about bringing a twist in our daily fashion devoir.

Oh yes girls retro has become modern yet again and here we give you a dinky brews to dig back into your own wardrobes or your mother’s (why not?) to meet the highly changing fashion trends again. Yes, you heard us right, the plunging necklines are no more, it’s all about modesty and high neck’s this season.

So without spending too much from your pocket you can just team up your old junkies and be trendy from head to toe .

We are drowning in the 70’s Fringes and how they have become an essential part of our wardrobes, they not only suit our denims, but go well with our bags, dresses, tops and what not making them quite a rage in the realm of retro fashion! The fringes at the bottom of the denim not only make the basic look retro, but makes it more than just casual.

Don’t panic while experimenting with silhouettes, a little change harmed none! Vintage fashion is the new modern.

Black and white are always right!

“In the beginning it was all black and white.” Maureen O’hara

Sophisticated and sleek monochrome’s still a big trend, and so far maturity is concerned, we don’t see it fading anytime soon. The simplicity of the black and white makes it a timeless classic. So far we remember, it has always been dominating our wardrobes. Someone said it right, you can never go wrong with the basics.

Be it prints, stripes or color blocking, doing it black and white way it just easy and a safe play. In this complicated fashion world, this simple combination reassures a clean anytime look.

Monochromes are a dress code you can pull off for any occasion. Since adding any other color would have lessened the impact that this classic combination was creating, we played around with metallics. With the peplum, the ear’s begged for some statement. Thanks to Outhouse jewellery for being the number.

The oriental clutch from Forever New has been our favourite since the day it arrived from the Koovs.com. Living apart and sharing wardrobes is a no easy job. Y’all sister’s managing to do it, know what it means. haha! The basic nature of the colour, and the statement embroidery just makes us want to carry this piece all where everywhere.
